Golf is a popular sport that can be played by people of all ages and skill levels. You can enjoy a round of golf without putting too much stress on your body as it doesn't require intense physical physical strength. Imagine yourself standing on the tee box for the first time, you are surrounded by a group of friends or families and beautiful nature environment, it is important to learn more about the rules and etiquette before you hit the course. EZ Golf Academy is here to give you some golf tips and guide you through every aspect of your golfing journey. Holes

A golf course is typically comprised of 18 holes, each with a teeing area, fairway, and green. The goal is to complete each hole in as few strokes as possible. Holes can range in length from under 100 yards to over 600 yards, so it's important to understand the layout of each hole before you start playing.

Teeing Area / Tee Box

The teeing area is where each hole starts. This is where you'll tee off, or hit your first shot. It's important to choose the right teeing area based on your skill level, as different teeing areas will have different yardages and levels of difficulty

Fairway

The fairway is the section of the course between the teeing area and the green. This is where you'll be hitting your second shot and all subsequent shots until you reach the green. The fairway is typically well-manicured and offers a good landing area for your shots. However, it may also have obstacles such as bunkers, trees, and water hazards that you'll need to avoid.

Green

The green is the final area of each hole and is typically the smallest and most well-manicured part of the course. The goal is to get your ball onto the green and into the hole in as few strokes as possible. The green is often surrounded by sand traps and other obstacles, so it's important to approach it with care.

Rough

The rough is the area surrounding the fairway and green that is not well-manicured. The grass is typically taller and thicker, making it harder to hit your ball and affecting its trajectory. Hitting your ball into the rough can add strokes to your score, so it's important to stay on the fairway as much as possible.

Bunkers

Bunkers are sand traps that are strategically placed on the course to challenge golfers. They are typically located near the green, so you'll need to hit a shot over the

m in order to reach the green. Hitting into a bunker can be challenging, as it's harder to control the trajectory and distance of your shots from the sand.

Water Hazards

Water hazards are areas of the course that contain water, such as ponds, lakes, or streams. They are often placed near the fairway or green and can present a challenge for golfers. Hitting your ball into a water hazard will result in a one-stroke penalty and the loss of your ball, so it's important to be careful when playing near them.

In conclusion, understanding the layout of a golf course is an important aspect of the game for beginners. Familiarizing yourself with the different areas of the course, such as the teeing area, fairway, green, rough, bunkers, and water hazards, can help you make more informed decisions and have a more enjoyable round of golf.
